2000
Tyler Gerry Ownership
Tyler Gerry takes the reigns of Torrison Stone & Garden.
2005
Torrison Relocates
Torrison relocates to a small location in Middlefield. “The yard was smaller than a basketball court,” Tyler remembers. They purchased their largest truck to date and hired their first mason.
2008
First Showroom
First showroom opens in Durham. Located on the second floor over Durham Wine & Spirits.
2011
Building Purchased
Building purchased from Ken Marino at 422 Main Street, Durham (current location) Over the course of the next five years, Tyler and his crew transformed the fifty-year-old car dealership into the state-of-the-art showroom you see today. Sue Ciofalo joins Torrison Stone & Garden as Business Manager, later becoming managing partner.
2012
Hardscape North America Award
Honored with the Hardscape North America Award for Best Concrete Paver Commercial Project, the large-scale patio installation at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven, CT marked one of the most ambitious and celebrated milestones in company history.
2015
Brian Murphy Joins Torrison Stone & Garden
Landscape Architect, Brian Murphy joins Torrison Stone & Garden as managing partner of Torrison Garden.
2018
The Stone Division Moves
The stone division moves its center of operations to Middlefield. Torrison takes on Palmer Field Project which earns a 2018 HOBI Award – Best Commercial Amenity. Middlesex Chamber – 2018 Retail Business of the Year.
2019
Outdoor Showroom is Built
A major leap forward, the award-winning Outdoor Showroom is built and officially opened on April 27—setting a new standard for showcasing craftsmanship and design. That same year, TSG expanded its garden division with greenhouse facilities in Middletown, opened the Torrison Tap Room, and was honored with the Durham Economic Development Commission’s Blue Ribbon Business Award.
2020
20 Year Anniversary
The team celebrate the twentieth year of the company.
2021
Expansion
To support continued growth, the Durham Office underwent a major expansion - Introducing the new 'Fire Room' for showcasing outdoor fire features and welcoming two new landscape designers to meet rising client demand.
2022
Fleet Headquarters
Adjacent Main Street property is transformed into the official Fleet Headquarters, providing dedicated space for the Fleet Manager and support staff to streamline logistics, vehicle maintenance, and crew coordination.
2024
Rebranding
TSG officially rebranded from Torrison Stone & Garden, unveiling a new logo, updated visual identity, and modernized marketing materials. This shift marked a bold step forward while honoring the company’s strong foundation and trusted reputation.
2025
25th Year Anniversary
TSG proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary, highlighting decades of exceptional craftsmanship, loyal client relationships, and team growth. The milestone year was marked by client appreciation efforts, special promotions, and a renewed commitment to luxury outdoor living.
