General Services
Do you install stamped concrete?
We do not install stamped concrete. However, we can remove and replace stamped concrete with pavers or natural stone materials.
Do you sell stone and other material retail?
No, we do not sell stone or other building materials at retail.
Do you do asphalt paving?
No, we do not do asphalt paving. We can install stone or paver driveways, however.
Do you do snow plowing?
No, we do not offer snow plowing services.
Do you offer tree removal or trimming services?
No, we do not offer tree removal or trimming services. However, we can recommend local arborists if needed.
Can we purchase a design?
Our designs are property of Torrison Stone & Garden until you decide to move forward with an installation by our crews. Once you have deposited on your project, we will give you copies of the design.
Can I make changes to my project design after installation begins?
Yes you can, however, changes to the design prior to, during, or after installation can affect the timeline and cost of your project. Please speak with your project manager to discuss options.
Do you offer a warranty on your installations?
Yes, we offer 1 year workmanship warranty for all of our work as well as pass along any product and supplier warranty for materials.
Coverage Area & Appointments
Do we need an appointment to visit the showroom?
You do not need an appointment to visit the showroom. However, scheduling a showroom appointment guarantees that a Sales Representative or Project Manager will be available to discuss your specific project.
Do you have weekend appointments?
We schedule showroom appointments for projects on Saturdays (exceptions during our Winter Schedule). If you are unable to meet with your Sales Representative or Project manager during normal business hours, please contact our front office as they can work with you to meet your needs.
Do you travel outside of Connecticut for projects?
While our primary service area is Connecticut, we occasionally travel to Western Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New York for select projects. Contact us to discuss your specific location.
Do you charge for consultations outside your coverage area?
No we normally do not charge for consultations outside our standard service area. Speak with our team to discuss your project and if it is something we would be interested sending someone out to.
Lawn Care Services
In which towns do you offer mowing?
We serve Durham, Middlefield, Middletown, Essex, Chester, Deep River, Higganum, Haddam, Old Saybrook, Westbrook, Clinton, Madison, Guilford, and Killingworth.
Can I schedule a one-time mow?
No, we do not offer one-time mowing services.
Do you provide fertilization or weed control services?
Yes, we offer fertilization and weed control services as part of our lawn care programs.
Do you offer irrigation system installation or maintenance?
While we do not install irrigation systems, we have trusted partners who specialize in irrigation.
Project-Specific Questions
How do I prepare my property for your crews?
Before your project starts, we recommend clearing the work area of personal items and notifying neighbors about the project timeline to minimize disruptions.
Do you work with existing hardscaping or landscaping?
Yes, we can integrate existing features into your new design, provided they meet structural and aesthetic requirements.
What is your typical project timeline?
Timelines vary depending on the scope of the project, time of year, and availability of material. For most projects we are able to get to them within a 2-3 week timeline in the height of the season. Our design build projects can take as little as 4-6 weeks and as long as 6+ months depending on a variety of factors.
Do you provide maintenance services for completed projects?
Yes, we offer maintenance packages for many of our completed projects, including seasonal cleanup, yard maintenance, patio care, power washing, and more.
What materials do you specialize in for patios and walkways?
We work with high-quality natural stone, pavers, and other durable materials that complement your landscape.
Do you handle permitting for projects?
Yes, we will assist with permitting and town approvals as required for your specific project and location.

What is included in your design consultation?
Our design consultations include an initial discovery call to understand your vision, a site evaluation, and initial design concepts. Our design build process provides opportunity for revisions and input from clients for each design concept. Detailed designs are included when you move forward with our services.
Payment & Financing
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, ACH, checks, and major credit cards. Financing options are also available through our partners, Lyon Financial and HFS Financial. We strongly encourage ACH payments.
Do you require a deposit to start a project?
Yes, a deposit is required to secure your project on our schedule. The amount varies based on the project size and scope but is typically 50% of the project total to be scheduled and have material ordered.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes, we now offer financing with Lyon Financial and HFS Financial.

Do you handle water management or drainage issues?
Yes, we provide solutions for drainage issues as part of our landscape design and installation services.
Can you help with outdoor lighting?
Yes, we partner with outdoor lighting specialists that can incorporate design and installation as part of our outdoor living services.
Are your crews insured?
Yes, all of our crews are fully insured, and we comply with all state and local regulations.
Can I see examples of your work?
Absolutely! You can visit our portfolio on our website or schedule an appointment to visit our showroom, where we showcase completed projects.
Do you work with landscape architects or designers?
Yes, we have certified in-house Landscape Architects and Designers to bring your vision to life.
Do you offer free estimates?
We offer free initial consultations to discuss your project needs. Estimates are provided based on project scope.
How far in advance should I schedule a project?
We recommend scheduling as early as possible, as our calendar can fill up quickly during peak seasons. If you are trying to have your project completed by Memorial Day or July 4th you will need to discuss it with your Sales Representative as we strongly encourage you to deposit so that you can lock your spot on our production schedule.
What happens if there is bad weather during my project?
We monitor weather conditions closely and adjust our schedules to ensure the safety of our crews and the quality of our work.
Can I visit ongoing project sites to see your work?
For safety and privacy reasons, we do not allow visitors to active job sites. However, you can view completed projects in our portfolio or showroom.
How do you handle disruptions to the property during installation?
We take great care to minimize disruptions and restore affected areas as part of our service. Your project manager will review site plans with you before starting.
Do you provide references or testimonials?
Yes, we’re happy to provide references upon request. You can also find testimonials on our website and social media pages.
Do you install outdoor kitchens or fire pits?
Yes, we specialize in custom outdoor kitchens, fire pits, and fireplaces to enhance your outdoor living space.
